Our first BPN. Part 3

When I came to myself everything was bright white. My arms and legs were strapped to the bed, my suit was nowhere in sight and my head was spinning. I slowly realized that I was in a hospital and when I looked around i could tell that most of the team was here too. A nurse came in and when she saw I was awake she came to my bed checked my pulse and asked if i wanted anything. I asked why I was here and she told me the doctor would talk to me later and then she gave me a shot of something.
I slept.
I awoke to the sound of Sean yelling. the nurse was trying to calm him down and I got a glimpse of the temper of a real Brainwaster - Go Sean! I could tell that the other had heard him too for there was a lot of groaning and stretching. Allan discovered that his arm was still missing and as he started whimpering the nurse gave Sean a shot and quickly proceeded to Allan. As she discovered the rest of us were getting more agitated she quickly adjusted our IV drops and soon I slept again.
I drifted in and out of sleep during the next couple of...? hours? days? I sometimes heard the others complain and sometimes I heard myself ask to talk to a doctor. Everytime I got the same response "the doctor will talk to you soon" and then i got a new shot of whatever drug. I quickly figured out that I had to stop asking to see a doctor (since it always triggered more drugs) and as my head cleared a bit i noticed that Allan was still missing an arm, and that the nurses were strangely alike(and all called "Betty"), there was no buzzing from a TV, no one had come to see us (except the nurses) and judging from the smell we hadn't seen a bath for a couple of days.
As it dawned on all of us that something was wrong we figured we'd have to do something fast or we'd just be forgotten here in this horrible place. Blue was not with us, but the rest of the team was here. G'rr tested how strong our restraints were - judging from his face even Blue would be in trouble if he'd have to get out of this. Sean was in total frenzy and tried to wriggle out of the straps but only result was alarming the nurse who came running with a shot for the rebellious 'waster. Nurse Betty looked around at the rest of us and we all put up or most innocent faces - to no avail - shots for everyone :(
When I awoke again I could hear Allan whimpering and a low murmur from G'rr. Allan was, with his missing arm, the only one who had a small chance of getting out of the straps, so G'rr was trying to convince him to try and break free. It took a lot of persuasion from all of us but finally Allan agreed to try and break free the next time Betty had been here.
So after Betty had been checking up on us, our little timid Allan wriggled and bit himself out of the restraints with much encouragment from the rest of us. Soon he was out and a few seconds later the entire team was ready to go - only problem; no guns, no armor, no drugs! And we had no idea where the heck we were and what would be out there.
So we decided to catch ourselves a nurse, maybe ask her a couple of questions, and then get the hell out. Sean called nurse Betty and as soon as she opened the door we jumped her to pin her down. What we hadn't expected was a psycho bitch with nasty closecombat skills. We tried to pacify her fast but we ended up accidentally killing her... I really hoped our intuition on this were right.
We looked at the dead nurse - this was bad... Blonde, blue eyes, puffy lips, pretty except for the hard lines around eyes and mouth, short white uniform, stay-ups - no panties!!! Kinky! This was definitely not your average nurse. We stripped her and I put on the uniform, it almost fit, and while the rest of the team waited I walked out into the hallway.
As soon as I entered the hall it was obvious this wasn't a real hospital. Everything was dirty and looked like it hadn't been used in ages. Down the hallway were cameras on both side and I decided to do something about that first. Since I had no resemblance with the nurses (obviously ebon, black hair no shoes) I had to act fast to avoid discovery - it might be possible that the other nurses would come look for the Betty we'd just killed. I killed the first camera and noticed that further down the hall was the nurses private room - I could hear voices and laughter. I quickly ran back to the other camera and pulled the plug. Further down this hall was a big firedoor with "exit" written above it. For a second I thought of taking a closer look but decided against it - there could be an alarm on it.
I ran back to the others and told them what I'd seen and heard and as we stood there arguing what to do, another Betty entered the room. She spotted the dead, naked Betty on the floor and imediately went for her alarm. In the pure chaos that followed we killed her too and as the boys ran out the door and down the hallway I stashed the Bettys behind a bed and followed.
In the hallway we checked all the rooms and it was the same everywhere; dark, dirty, small rooms filled with loads of junk. We walked past a large glass window; in the room behind we could see a man sitting on the floor in a pile of dirt. He was muttering to himself, making angry gestures now and then - we hurried down to the nurses room.
We barged through the dor G'rr, Sean and Greg first. And in no-time the two women were on the floor dead. Allan, Jack and I stared at the TV wall in the middle of the room - what was this?
While the others found some stunbattons and other nifty clubs in the lockers, Allan and I looked at the screens. As far as we could tell from theese images we were somewhere in the middle of a subversive (Dark Night?) stronghold in DownTown. We were on the 7th or 8th basement floor and we'd have to pass several armed guards and random followers to even get off the next floor - this would fit nicely into the bad things cathegory!
We were pretty much fucked without any weapons or armor, Sean and I started to feel the need for our suits and we were still influenced by whatever drugs were in our IVs'.
The team was on the verge of breaking because of our vulnerable position and our discussion was turning into a childish argument when we finally agreed on sending Sean and G'rr out to search this floor for weapons, drugs and whatever might be handy. The rest of us watched the screens, scanning for any clues on where we were while the two stealthy guys ran down the halls of the dark hospital.
Finally they came back and with them they had a monarch. They'd encountered this scumbag (Bones) while he was having a good time with 2 Bettys. Sean and G'rr had killed the Bettys and pacified Bones - he was going to get us out! Sean was bleeding from his eye as one of the Bettys had punctured it with a stilletto.
We punched Bones around untill he agreed to tell us a little about what he was doing here. Apparently he didn't know anything about what was going on and he was willing to sell anybody to get out of this mess. I didn't really care how much he knew, I just wanted to get out - fast!
So we took his phone and I called Central who punched me through to Azer. He was extremely angry that we had messed up this nice little BPN he'd bought for us - I wasn't really in the mood for chatting so I told him to shut up and get his thumb out of his ass - this was important. It shut him up long enough for me to ask him to come and get us out of this DN stronghold before we were discovered. I could hear him moving really fast and yelling orders at some people around him, then he told me to keep the phoneline open and he'd find us. I told him that the monarch had given us a sector number but I wasn't sure if I could trust it. Azer wasn't worried he'd find us.
I kept the phoneline open and while we waited for the cavalry we followed anything that happened in the building on the tv screens. It didn't take many minutes before the upper floors of the building was swarming with SLA operatives and Shivers. Finally Azer opened the door to the nurses room and behind him some rough looking troops - we were getting out!

Later Azer told us that we had been reported missing after our last assignment. Apparently we had all been wounded so the medics had picked us up to get us into quarantine and get some medical treatment when the transporter had disappeared. Blue had been on his way to Karma with a different transport since he'd been sliced to shreds. They'd looked everywhere for us but we were simply gone and we'd been gone for 5 days when we suddenly called out of nowhere.
He asked us if we knew a serialkiller named Whistler since he apparently was the one responsible for this hole mess - that was a negative from all of us. We'd only been a team for a couple of days and already a serialkiller had taken notice of us. This could be good or really, really bad!

Oh yes!
Definetly worth the 2(?0 day wait lol
Weirdo Nurses called Betty... Perhaps your GM has "issues"? :P
I also would like to know, from a purely proffesional perspective, did you get your leg pulled for dressing up as a Nurse? lol Or should I refer back to the GM issues question?
By the look of it, you lot got some smart thinking done and managed to extract yourselves from a pretty unpleasant situation. Isn't it just typical of "higher ups" to ball you out over something that isn't your fault? At least he had to eat his words though :)
And you got to shut down a hated Dark Night base.. Kudos. I don't think my lot have even managed that yet :D
I demands part 4 now... yeah I know I'm supposed to wait but now would be good :)
Keep up the good work

4th part is a bit depressing as we got pulled from the assignment - someone with more experience was given credit for solving the DN situation - but that's SLA for ya ;)
I'll probably not be able to write for the next couple of days so you'll have to go back to waiting - or posting on your own blog :P
