Our first BPN. Part 4

We were sent to "Blue Haven" (a Karma Fascility) to get a check up after this little incident. Since no-one knew what drugs we'd been submitted to we got a full healthcheck, detox and scan. They found bugs in both Sean and me they were carefully removed offcourse. Allan was still missing an arm and Sean was missing an eye. They'd found our deathsuits in the building and I don't know what they'd done to them, it was obvious that my suit was confused or scared, so I guess a bit of relaxation is important now.
When we were all waiting for out healthcheck to be cleared some Karmadude showed up - he'd probably sell an arm and an eye... As it turns out he had some papers for us to sign. Since it was LADs dropship that'd gone missing (and that wasn't our fault!) they're partly responsible for the loss of all our stuff. But they had a deal for us that we couldn't refuse... They'd pay for Allans arm, Seans eye and pay for all the equipment we'd lost if only we'd sign the papers. Allan read them through and informed us that the papers cleared LAD of all responsibility of our little "adventure". Being right out of Meny with no BPNs behind us (except this one that we just failed!!!) and therefore no money we had no option but to sign. And friendly as they are; LAD even made accounts for the team with 500C on each - I cannot believe how lucky we are.
It was a pretty strange experience to leave the fascilities, we'd gotten replacements for all our lost stuff, we had no money to speak of and we'd just dropped 0,1 SCL - shiver here I come.
We talked a bit about what to do next, Allan and Jack wanted to go home to their families and I wanted to go drink this experience away but the rest wanted to get a BPN as soon as possible (Greg was on his last UVs and Sean and Blue was just short on bullets or whatever...) So they went for a BPN (wallmaintenance) while I stopped at The Pit to get pissed and get my ass kicked by 2 random operatives.
A very strange conclusion to our first BPN!

:o
Strange ending indeed, but "happy" nonetheless :)
At least you got all your gear replaced and body bits re-fitted :D
Better than when I was in a squad that did the mission ,saved the girl, got the paycheck (you get the picture), only to have lost half its weapons to enemy action and not have enough cash to repair our armour :(
Nothing like going out the following week on a green BPN, into a Cannibal Sector, and only having half your armour on!
Keep up the (really) good work :)
